Comprehensive Networking Solutions for Mission-Critical Applications
Explore the power of IEEE 802.16t for robust, high-performance communication
Ondas Networks' FullMAX™ software-defined radios, supporting IEEE 802.16t, provide advanced solutions for scalable, reliable, and cost-effective connectivity. FullMAX radios offer a wide range of power, channel size, and frequency options designed for diverse applications at fixed and mobile locations. FullMAX radios also support Docker containers to allow users and other 3rd parties to develop their applications to run directly on the radio at the edge of their network.

IEEE 802.16t offers two versatile networking modes—Point-to-Multipoint (PtMP) and Direct Peer-to-Peer (DPP)—designed to meet the demanding needs of mission-critical industries like railroads, smart grids, and industrial IoT. Each mode is optimized to address a wide range of use cases across the industry.

Ondas Networks also provides our customers with an array of professional services to assist with the deployment of 802.16t radio networks such as channel modeling and RF propagation studies. We also offer custom designed radio solutions and white labeling services with partners to deliver unique radio solutions for new applications and markets.

Point-to-Multipoint Networks (PtMP)
IEEE 802.16t PtMP enables seamless communication between remote fixed and mobile radios through intermediary base stations. As a scheduled air interface protocol, PtMP is typically utilized in applications such as Positive Train Control where highly reliable low latency communications are required.

Airlink Radios
Developed in partnership with Siemens, the Airlink family of Software Defined Radios (SDR) are designed as fully interoperable, drop-in replacements for legacy radio networks. With the ability to operate in legacy mode or IEEE 802.16t (a.k.a. "dot16") mode, Airlink radios provide railroads roadmap to migrate seamlessly from legacy ACSES or ATCS operation to IP connectivity over-the-air.

Network Design and Channel Modeling
Our family of sophisticated RF measurement tools enables us to perform advanced RF propagation analysis in extremely challenging environments. Work with Ondas Networks to learn how our measurement tools are incorporated in the deployment of 802.16t technology in the field.

Direct Peer-to-Peer Networks (DPP)
IEEE 802.16t DPP mode enables direct communication between radios without relying on base station infrastructure. Using CSMA/CA for channel access, this connectionless protocol minimizes handover times and ensures fast, efficient data transmission, even when radios are out of range.

Base Station Controller (BSC)
The BSC is the foundation of an IEEE 802.16t Point-to-Multipoint network and enables the highest optimization of spectrum utilization through bandwidth multiplication and self-interference avoidance. A BSC ensures that spectrum is dynamically allocated to radios in the network as needed - ensuring that any available spectrum is utilized.

FullMAX
Radios
FullMAX Radios provide scalable, mission-critical wireless solutions, supporting high throughput, long range communications in various IEEE 802.16t operating modes. FullMAX™ radios are designed for deployment in ruggedized environments with an operating temperature range of -40° C to +70° C.
